Overview:

We are seeking a talented PHP Developer with a strong background in WordPress to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality websites and web applications, ensuring optimal performance and functionality. As a PHP Developer with WordPress skills, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance web solutions, contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Note: Mainly, all projects are based in Europe, and collaboration overseas is a must for project execution.

Minimum of 6 years experience in PHP Development.

Responsibilities:

WordPress Development:

  • Design and implement custom WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WordPress functionality and performance.

PHP Development:

  • Develop and maintain server-side logic using PHP.
  • Implement efficient, secure, and scalable PHP code.

Maintenance of Existing Systems:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on existing websites and applications.
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets from customers, addressing issues and implementing necessary updates.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with designers and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of WordPress and PHP components.
  • Participate in project planning and provide technical expertise to contribute to the development of robust solutions.
  • Collaborate with international teams, as overseas collaboration is essential for project execution.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct thorough testing of websites and applications to identify and address any issues.
  • Optimize and maintain the performance of existing websites, ensuring a smooth user experience.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to WordPress and PHP development.
  • Keep documentation up to date with any changes or enhancements made to the codebase.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in Back-End Development: Proven experience as a PHP Developer with a focus on WordPress development or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of PHP best practices and coding standards.
  • Proven experience with development of REST API’s

WordPress Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins.
  • Experience with custom theme and plugin development.
  • Familiarity with the latest WordPress trends and technologies.

PHP Proficiency:

  • Solid understanding of PHP, PDO & OOP.
  • Experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel or Codeigniter) is a plus.

Front-end Technologies

  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/jQuery.

Database Management:

  • Strong knowledge of MySQL database design and optimization.

Version Control:

  • Experience with Git.

Problem Solving:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Communication:

  • Fluent in English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are a must.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Adaptability:

  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated on industry trends.
